Support the players in their hour of need

Yesterday’s message was heard loud and clear. The board have faith in Gianfranco Zola to turn around the fortunes of Birmingham City Football Club.

Agree or disagree, it doesn’t matter. What we as fans must do is get behind the team. Put all opinions aside, put any animosity on the back burner and support the players. Through thick and thin – the current circumstances being extremely thin admittedly.

Zola will be the manager of Birmingham City until the day he walks out or is dismissed. There’s nothing I or any other Bluenose canĀ  do about that. I’m not the sort of fan that wishes defeat upon his team in the hope it will get the manager sacked. I always want Birmingham City to win, regardless of circumstances, opposition or competition. That will never change.

The reaction to Saturday’s dismal defeat has been hostile. Social media comments have lambasted Zola and I’ve written articles calling for his head. But now, we must move on and support the club. What will be, will be.

Keep Right On!
