Sunderland winger on Blues radar?

Championship rivals Birmingham City and Leeds United are reportedly tracking Sunderland winger Will Buckley.

According to HITC Sport online, the former Brighton and Hove Albion winger is not part of Dick Advocaat’s plans for the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign and he is now looking to offload the play maker.

Both sides are suggested to be looking at a loan deal for the 25 year old but HITC Sport believe that the Black Cats are looking to get Buckley off the wage budget all together.

The winger is currently rated at around £1.5 million which might prove too steep for the likes of Leeds and Birmingham, hence why both clubs are looking for a loan deal.

Blues do have an abundance in the wide areas so reports linking them with a move for Buckley are more than likely wide of the mark, but anything is possible in football.

Should a move come about for the Blues, it would most likely be the suggested loan deal and Buckley would provide competition for the reported want away David Cotterill and mainstay wingers Demarai Gray, Koby Arthur and Jacques Maghoma.

Blues fans, what do you make of this link? Do you think it could be something that the club are potentially looking at? Or do you think that it is wide of the mark? Let us know in the comment section down below!
