Could this be a sign of things to come?
It’s always nice to see your former favourite players do well elsewhere, just so long as they don’t come back and score against you, we wish them all the success and hope they come back someday. And that might just be the case with this former Bluenose.
Former Blues ‘hero’ Mikael Forssell today announced that he will be taking on the role as head coach of the U20 side at HJK Helsinki, the team that he started his playing days with. Having been appointed as a coach there last season, he’s now taking the step up into management.
And Blues fans were naturally very excited for him when he announced the news and they took to Twitter to congratulate him. And it looks as if they all had the same idea when it came to his managerial career.
Congratulations.
Lovely Blue top Mikael.
A nice Royal Blue top.
You always look great in a Blue top.
One day you'll be wearing one coaching in England.
In the middle of England.

Now wouldn’t that be something? Imagine if he came in and did just as good a job in the dugout as he did on the pitch? We’d be in the Premier League in no time. Not that I’m advocating him to take Pep Clotet’s job now, but maybe sometime in the future.
