Clayton Donaldson was pleased to get the winning goal after Blues had the better of the game against Rotherham at The New York Stadium.
‘A good performance, a good win away from home. Rotherham are a tough side, it was important that we stuck to our game plan and played football our way.’
Donaldson was grateful for his good fortune after his initial shot was saved only for him to prod home the rebound. Albeit past some recovering defenders.
‘I was happy to see the ball rebound back to me and I took the second chance. It’s good to get the winning goal and the three points.’
The new Blues man clearly has goals in him and is slowly starting to find his feet in the Championship. Birmingham need key goals in tight games and Donaldson supplied the goods this time around.
