It might sound cliché, but I think now more than ever, we’re going to need actions to speak louder than words at St Andrew’s.
Especially when you consider our history when it comes to the turnover in the dugout.
Speaking following the recent appointment of Aitor Karanka as Blues boss, club CEO Dong Ren spoke about the future of the club, and the kind of role that the Spaniard will take on going forward:
“Aitor will have the time and authority to build and lead this football club going forward. I’m very excited and I can’t wait to get started, he will have our backing for sure.”
Now call me sceptical if you will, but given the way we have gone through managers and head coaches in the past, I wouldn’t be getting ready to start calling this ‘The Aitor Karanka era’ in B9 just yet.
But it seems as if I wasn’t the only one that wanted to see some proof before they truly got on board with the CEO’s comments, as many fans responded on social media.
I will believe it when I see it, prove me wrong

Stick to your word Dong and you will have the backing of blues fans, the last we want is the same relegation battle!! As you joked to Kirsty of Sky, you normally do this every 12 months the conferences! Lets not repeat this please! KRO

He's definitely the right man just let him run it his way, same to the fans stick with him and he'll sort things out. Good things never happen overnight it will take time.

What about you? Do you believe Ren and the board will stick by their words?
