Penalties and red cards, a thrown away match and Bruce says it wasn’t our day.

‘The disappointing thing is having gone down to ten men and getting back to 2-2 we threw it away.

‘It was one of those afternoons where we’ve given away a penalty and an own goal and you start to think it’s not your day.’

Wasn’t it Leeds day either as they scored an own goal aswell!

‘Every time we went forward we looked a real threat and a real handful and purposeful, but defensively we all over the shop and we need to improve on that.

‘The biggest thing for me is we have to improve on the indiscipline side as well because I’m convinced that if we had XI v XI we would have won that match today.

‘You can’t to repeatedly play against teams when you’ve got just ten men whatever division and we’ve done it now four times in ten games which is really disappointing for me and so frustrating.

‘Indiscipline has crept in and we have to stamp it out now.

‘It’s my responsibility to do it and they will be heavily fined and sanctioned in the way I see fit to stop it.

‘You know what I think of Damien Johnson as a player and as a man but I can’t defend him after that today because it was stupid.

‘Up front we know Dunn is a threat with his passing and with McSheffrey on the left.

‘DJ Campbell is flying and Bendtner is playing very well.

‘We’re very entertaining and for the neutral it must be very good to watch for them.

‘If we are to do anything we have to try and go and beat teams and be positive and get at them, but at the moment it’s catching us out defensively because we’re a little bit gung ho at the moment.

‘The effort and commitment was terrific in a lot of areas today but we have to be disciplined in our defending particularly away from home.

‘But I’m not going to curb our natural instincts going forward because for large spells even down to ten men we’ve cut them to bits.

‘But we’ll improve on that once we’ve got a settled team.’
