A source close to Vital Birmingham has informed us that a deal to bring former England captain John Terry to Birmingham City is complete – pending a medical.

The 36-year-old is due to leave Chelsea as a free agent once his current contract expires at the end of this month.

Blues boss Harry Redknapp confirmed on talkSPORT yesterday that the club had made Terry a ‘good offer’ and, as we understand it, he may just have his man.

  • Keep thinking it’s too good to be true. We go from paupers to JT. Great if it all happens.

  • Expenses but a quality investment. Our goals agai st should be considerably less next term and who wouldn’t want to play with JT as captain under Arry as manager. What a pull for more players. AND THE CROWD. It’s going to be buzzing there at Stans.

  • Interestingly your source is better placed than anyone working for sky sports and any paper….let’s just hope this doesn’t leave egg on your face getting people even more exciteted!

  • Excited yes Danny, but also a little wary of this actually happening. My fear-until it happens-is that this could all be a cruel hoax or hyped up nonsense. Only Harry can clarify by a proper quote.
