Sky Sports Pundit Doesn’t See Much Hope For Birmingham Against Forest Tomorrow

|

David Prutton can’t see anything other than a Notts Forest win against us tomorrow evening.

Both sides have struggled to find the back of the net this season but in his weekend predictions, the Sky Sports pundit says we won’t get any joy at the City Ground:

“Birmingham probably should have beaten Swansea last weekend and Garry Monk was very unhappy with how they lost at Bolton in midweek. He will hope for a response but this has to be a home win for me.”

The ex-Forest midfielder went for a 2-0 win, but I think it will be a lot tighter than that. We showed against Bolton on Wednesday that we won’t just sit back and defend despite our poor recent away record.

We will need to be brave in both defence and attack against Aitor Karanka’s side, and I don’t expect more than one goal being scored.

With our lack of threat in the final third, we may need a set piece or a penalty to get us in front, but Forest are still bedding in a number of their thirteen summer signings.

They are not the finished article by any means, and they have looked disjointed with Karanka yet to find his best eleven. Hopefully, we can exploit that and pick up our first win of the season tomorrow.
