“Shows you don’t have a clue”: Many Blues fans left stunned with Pep Clotet’s comments

|

I said on Friday that you knew there were problems at the club when the word ‘relegation’ was officially being talked about by the manager and media.

Well now I think we’ve entered stage two of those problems, as we have our first mention of a ‘six-pointer’ of the season, and it’s not something that has gone down particularly well with the Birmingham City fans.

Speaking after the victory over Luton Town on Saturday, Blues boss Pep Clotet described the result as “a six-pointer of a match because it puts a bigger gap between us and the relegation spots and set us back on track.”

However, there were a large number of fan who weren’t happy to see the game described in such a way, with many of them saying that it was down to the boss that the club have managed to get themselves in such a position to start with.

Hopefully this will be the only time it gets mentioned this season, but for those of you who are pessimistic, looking at the table and our upcoming fixtures, the next ‘six-pointer’ will arguably be against Barnsley in February. Although if it doesn’t get referred to as such, you’ll know we’re moving in the right direction.
