‘Shouldn’t have sold him’: Some Blues fans have eyes elsewhere as side draws first home game

|

Hey, we’re still unbeaten, so it’s not all bad news.

Having started the season perfectly last week with their 1-0 win over Brentford, the Blues took a slight step back as they played out a 1-1 draw with Bristol City. Lukas Jutkiewicz gave the home side the lead, but a Tommy Rowe effort with less than ten minutes left saw the points shared.

So what were the Birmingham fans biggest takeaways from the game? Was it that they weren’t set up the right way tactically? Did they think the referee had a bad day? Or were they concerned by conceding a goal with less than ten minutes to go?

Well, it was none of those; instead their attention was drawn towards the Cardiff City Stadium. Having left the club on deadline day, Isaac Vassell grabbed the headlines as he scored an injury-time winner for his new side, and some Bluenoses were not happy with that news at all.

Sticking to matter at St Andrew’s though, despite dropping points, it looks as if the fans were able to take a lot of positives from the game, which hopefully they’ll be able to take into their next game against Nottingham Forest.
