Over the course of the weekend, Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has had talks with Birmingham City target Che Adams about his future according to the Sheffield Telegraph.

Blues boss Gary Rowett hinted last week that after seeing an improved bid of £1.7 million rejected by the Blades, the Sky Bet Championship side would now be pursuing other targets, although the former Burton Albion boss may have said that to almost spook United.

The Blades boss selected Adams for their final preseason game at the weekend, a game which the 20-year-old scored in, and he is still hopeful that he will be there next season trying to help United achieve promotion into the division Blues are currently in.

Although Wilder will be hoping to keep hold of Adams, he has said that he will be happy for the player no matter where he ends up because of where he was playing not so long ago.

It is yet unknown whether Blues will go back in with a third, and most probably final bid for the League One talent, but if the bid does come, we can expect it to be very close to the £2 million mark.

Blues fans, how much more time should the club focus on bringing Che Adams in? Would you pay £2 million for him? Let us know in the comment section down below!
