Well, if this report is anything to go by, then it looks like my prayers are going to be answered and we’re finally reaching the end of the road.
Although as I have said before, there just needs to be a little bit of caution attached to this if the deal does indeed get completed.
According to a report from Richard Wilford, the Blues are set to appoint former Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest boss Aitor Karanka this week, with club CEO Xuandong Ren reportedly flying out to Spain to finalise negotiations.

With other targets like Chris Hughton reportedly looking elsewhere for work, it looks as if Karanka is the only man that comes close to the club’s apparent parameters that is likely to end up at St Andrew’s, with other names like Robbie Fowler not exactly up to the desired standard.
Would you take Karanka at Blues?
Having known that we would need a new manager for the best part of two months now, it looks as if we’re finally one step closer to appointing a new boss, and hopefully this one will stick around a lot longer than the previous ones have.
What about you? What do you make of this news surrounding Karanka?
