Birmingham City midfielder Sebastian Larsson is having to wait over sorting out his future with Blues as talks over a new contract have been put on hold with the club looking set to be taken over by Carson Yeung.

The 24-year-old was looking at sorting a five year deal at St Andrews that was to be completed shortly, but the player now knows that a wait is on the cards.

He told the Birmingham Mail: ‘It’s gone kind of quiet since the situation with the sale of the club. I don’t know whether anything can be done now.

‘We were in decent stages of the contract talks but, since all this happened, the club haven’t come back with anything.

‘But let’s not worry about because I still have time left on my contract and, until the club come back to me and say they want to do business, I am not going to let it bother me.’
