Lots of Blues fans have been reminiscing about the career of Dutch midfielder Maikel Kieftenbeld.
Hopefully the current team’s layoff won’t be anywhere as long as the one that the 29-year-old had to put himself through, although given the number of delays that we’ve been hit with so far, I wouldn’t put anything past the authorities at this rate.
Kieftenbeld has been part of the St Andrew’s for close to five years now, having signed for the club back in the summer of 2015 for a fee of around £180,000.
And it looks as if he’s certainly made an impression on the fans in that time, as when the club’s Twitter feed asked fans to submit their favourite memories of the midfielder, ranging anywhere from a particular goal, to something that he’s developing a bit of a reputation for, and that’s putting in some crunching tackles. Although I think it’s safe to say that the latter was getting more of the attention.

It’s the flapping around and rolling on the floor that makes me laugh. Embarrassing 😂

Let’s just hope that the delay to football doesn’t go on too much longer, so we can see more of these memories sooner rather than later.
