Saturday is behind us, let’s focus on tonight.
Perhaps it would have been better if this game was played tomorrow, give Blues fans a little bit more time to calm down after what happened on Saturday. Well, like it or lump it, City are back in business tonight as they take on Barnsley at St Andrew’s.
Pep Clotet’s side will be looking to bounce back after that disappointing display at the weekend, and the boss made it pretty clear that whilst it is still taking time for some of his players to adapt to his system, that the results will come eventually. Speaking to BCFC.com he said:
“Yes, we are still doing a lot of working, testing things, helping players to adapt. So there are going to ups and downs… But firmly in our mind is the will to do it well and keep going in the right direction, the direction we want to go.”
Looks like his words didn’t have the galvanising effect on the fan base he was hoping for, because when the club Twitter account asked fans to give their predictions for tonight, there were plenty of pessimistic fans.
I’d settle for a score draw.

Blues 0 Barnsley 0. Or Blues 0 Barnsley 1. Hope I’m wrong though. I truly think we’ll be lucky to finish in the top half this season.

Maybe they just had a tough day at work. Hopefully three points will cheer them up.
