At least wait until you’ve lost a game before you start getting negative.

Pep Clotet held his first press conference yesterday ahead of the new season and it appears as though he’s confident heading into campaign.

“I think Birmingham will be able to move gradually to where we want to go, but also know or remember where we came from, what the values are in this city and in this Club. I am lucky enough to know that and I will try to find a blend to make sure everyone who is a fan of Birmingham sees something they like in the team.”

So he should be, after the good business that the club have done over the summer, bringing in talent like Ivan Sunjic, Dan Crowley and Jake Clarke-Salter as well as giving contract extensions to Harlee Dean and Lukas Jutkiewicz.

“We are satisfied with the players who have come in because they fit the idea.”

However, it looks as if Birmingham fans didn’t quite share the same level of enthusiasm.

Some fans though took their lack of confidence to an extreme level though, predicting that the Spaniard won’t even last until the festive season. One fan didn’t even think he’d be around to see Halloween, now that’s gloomy.

  • MATTHEW BALDWIN isn’t it time you started doing your homework and writing some decent articles rather than continually printing snippets from Twitter?, I doubt you know any of the people posting these comments (most of which is negative crap) , you have no idea if they’re proper Bluenoses and i’d hazard a guess that half of them have never even been to a match in their lives. It’s just lazy and negative journalism.

  • Birmingham announce their squad numbers today with no number 9 because it’s reserved for Puscas..  KRO

By the way 2 people on Twitter made negative remarks in 300!!. And that’s big news????

  • A striker was priority one when Che left. With days left position still not filled. By Christmas we could be firmly entrenched in the bottom 3. Juke can’t go it alone.

  • I feel we do need a couple of strikers there’s a few that would fit the bill. We need a blend of youth and experience. We have money to spend but sensably. I’m looking to see what talent comes through the door and blue have a lot few of them now still time I’m worried about the striker problem nothing new with blues I’m a long standing blues fan we need players that will play for the shirt with pride.
