Birmingham`s new young gun has been speaking with the Birmingham Mail about moving to the second city. The youngster has previously been on loan at League One club Oldham Athletic.
First Teams First
Slovakia U21 Rusnak has told of his eagerness to show what he can do in a Birmingham shirt, which is expected when a young player is given the chance to play first team football in front of thousands of people. All of a sudden football becomes real at that point.
It is no surprise the youngster has been loaned out, clearly progressing too quickly to be playing reserve games, he recently was the difference between a youth City and Wolves side.
Attitude
“During this loan spell I am looking to develop as a player” – A professional attitude is what strikes me from what he was saying, as a result I am slightly more hopeful he will perform at first team level. A player`s attitude and mental approach are the final pieces to being a successful player.
“I feel this is a good opportunity for me. The Championship is a good league and Birmingham is a massive club which was recently in the Premier League.” – Ahh the typical loan player speech, I`m sure he would be calling any team a massive club, it is appreciated though.
Liability Loan?
“Manchester City have just told me to come and get used to first-team football and being under pressure, whether it is playing against a club at the top of the table or in the relegation zone.” – Man City have every intention of leaving this boy with us, I doubt they will pull the same needless recall their neighbours did to us.
