Gary Rowett is pleased to have a Birmingham derby in the next round of the FA Cup. He knows what it is all about in these parts.

‘It`s a great tie for us.’

“A home leg against a local rival should also have a real interest for the fans.

A big attendance should greet the teams when they walk out onto the pitch on January 24/5. It has been a while since Birmingham have had the chance to play anyone but Wolves.

“It will be a good test for us against Premier League opposition and give us the chance to see how far we`ve come as a team.

This is why I love Rowett, he see everything as a challenge instead of damage control. He doesn’t over encourage or try and convince us of belief. He asks for it and installs belief that way.

“You also know that any team that is managed by Tony Pulis will be a tough and difficult side to play against.”

As we mentioned on our Twitter page, just like the manager has said. It is going to be two very tactical managers playing it out against one another.

Blues play West Brom on the weekend starting 24th January, I for one can not wait!
