Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett is hopeful of signing ‘one or two` players over the next week. Rowett told bcfc.com – “We`re still actively looking at the two players that will make a difference”.

Trialists Rostyn Griffiths and Shane Lowry played in the 1-1 draw at Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday, with Lowry scoring Blues equaliser. The Blues boss has been impressed with the pair so far and admits he is considering his options on the duo.

The Blues boss also confirmed that offers have been made for players. He said- “There are offers out there for players and we`re waiting on clubs to come back, but unfortunately we can`t control whether they become completed”.

So far this summer, Alex Jones, Jacques Maghoma, Adam Legzdins and Tomasz Kuszczak have been Blues` four summer additions but the manager is confident of more.

It is understood that Diego Fabbrini has been in talks with Blues over a loan deal but rumours circling around a move for Cardiff City`s Adam Le Fondre are wide of the mark. When asked if Le Fondre was on his way to St. Andrew`s, a source close to the club told us – “That is not the case”.

On Friday, Rowett revealed that his pursuit of long term target Robert Tesche is all but over and that he now turns his attentions to other targets. Rowett told bcfc.com- “”What we`ve done is left ourselves in a position where the two players we bring in will be very good signings?”
