Blues manager Gary Rowett is pleased with his teams unbeaten run and is confident that the team will soon climb the league.

Blues have picked up five points from a possible nine and more encouragingly have remained unbeaten since the new boss came into St Andrews.

‘I`ve said to them in a very short space of time, we`ve gone three unbeaten. We`ve also only conceded one goal in those three games, which after the result previous to that is a step in the right direction.’

It is clear that Rowett enjoys seeing his team being difficult to beat. An organised team that will always be working towards a positive end of the game as they’re pretty solid at the back.

Birmingham are yet to move anywhere in the league, though. All of the teams around the bottom have been picking up points recently. Bolton ended up hammering a dismayed Wigan 3-1.

Whilst it might be only a matter of time before the real poor form sides reveal themselves, Rowett is confident Blues will succeed.

“It`s a table where you know roughly what you need to get to where you want to and it`s about building points and performances, and more importantly building that confidence in the players.

Whether Birmingham can make it up the league is something we shall wait and see, but they’re looking a reliable Championship outfit in Rowett’s first month in charge.
