Rowett comes up trumps despite criticism

While it would have been tempting to throw the new boys straight into the fold at Elland Road today, Gary Rowett stuck to his game plan and, more importantly, so did his players.

Massive credit is due to the Blues manager who was lambasted on social media for his team selection before kick-off. But once again, Rowett has come up trumps in the face of the keyboard warriors.

Another huge positive about the result today is that Che Adams and Greg Stewart still remain fresh, unused and raring to go as Blues head to Wigan Athletic on Tuesday night.

The 2-1 win this afternoon marks four points out of six for Blues, not a bad start. The pessimists will crawl back under their rocks waiting for things to go wrong. And when they do, they will rear their heads once more. But hopefully, days like today will outweigh the doom and gloom.

Keep Right On!
