Birmingham City captain Paul Robinson has revealed that the training week in Ireland has gone well, with the team bonding and gaining valuable fitness.

The blues skipper has spoken ahead of the final day of training. Today the new boys are set for plenty of fun as they stand in front of team and staff to perform their induction song. All seemed to be in good spirits as the captain praised the atmosphere within the camp.

Robinson also explained that the game against Cork went some way to getting the team back to match fitness. He said that playing a team in the middle of their season was beneficial to the players as they knew it would be a tough ask. Blues beat Cork 3-0 on Tuesday.

The new players are settling well and whilst on the trip, clay shooting and laser quest has been used to bond the team. Judging from the honest skipper, the team are bonding well, which will delight manager Lee Clark.

Blues next test is a trip to Forest Green Rovers next Tuesday (15 July).
