Birmingham Captain Paul Robinson felt the score line flattered Sunderland after his team put in a spirited performance against Gus Poyet`s side.

The skipper said that several decisions didn`t go Blues way in his opinion. But despite that the team pushed Sunderland as far as they could go.

The team selection also complimented the squad depth that Blues now how but Robinson did hint that he is hoping for more game time in the coming weeks.

Blues took the game to Sunderland, said Robbo, but the quality showed in the end for Sunderland and Blues lost the game.

He finished off calling for all three points against Wigan and hopes to be involved himself. The captain hasn`t played in the league since the away defeat to Middlesbrough and Paul Caddis has been taking the arm band in his absence.

Blues now head to Wigan hoping to get ahead of a few disappointing results before anything snowballs into a period without a win. Blues let slip a 1-0 lead at Brentford and before that let the lead go twice in a game against Ipswich.
