West Brom have distanced themselves from reports that they were being linked with a move for Birmingham defender Liam Ridgewell.
Both clubs confirmed that there was an initial approach for the player, but that offer was rejected by the St Andrews outfit.
Albion boss Roy Hodgson said last week in a media conference that the Baggies had now dropped the idea of pursuing Ridgewell.
And despite speculation to the contrary, that apparently remains the case.
