Birmingham City are poised to sign free agent Rolf Feltscher later today, according to reports.
A versatile defender who can play across the back line, Feltscher was recently released by La Liga side Getafe and spent the second half of last season on loan at Real Zaragoza.
The 26-year-old is a full Venezuela international with 16 caps to his name, he is likely to come in initially as cover to what Blues already have in defence.
This could mean that Harry Redknapp’s pursuit of Sebastien Bassong is over – the former Norwich City man has spent the last couple of weeks training with the club and it was thought that he had done enough to earn a contract.
