One Direction member Louis Tomlinson has proposed to buy Doncaster Rovers, his beloved club, with former Chairman John Ryan. The deal now looks threatened after a crowdfund scheme has failed massively.
Doncaster Rovers find themselves in a bit of a slump after going down to League One on the very last day of the season. A dramatic day up in Bolton saw the boys in royal blue hold Birmingham dramatically just above water.
The deal to takeover the club was to be conditional on Ryan raising £2 million in a support fund to meet the fit and proper person test. According to reports today, this has failed and the club may not be bought after all.
Birmingham City are not without financial troubles themselves and are still waiting for news on a take over. Over the past weeks it has been revealed that nothing is going to happen in the near future for Blues but the club have enough cash to complete the season and Lee Clark is happy with the business he has done this summer.
Blues have eight new signings to take on the Championship this season. Players like Wes Thomas and Clayton Donaldson set to change the way Blues play this season.
