Writing about other topics other than the EFL would be very refreshing.
However, we cannot until this painful saga is sorted.
This week we expect a decision by the three-man panel as to our fate…… or possibly not! I’ve read numerous reports but there seems no logic, so nothing makes sense.
The general opinion is that people outside our club want blood. With only eight games to go would we really be dealt with such a late blow with so little time given to make a survival bid.
Perhaps this is all part of the drawn-out punishment. FFP is obviously important and needs scrutiny, but where do you start when clubs who ‘buy promotion’ go unpunished and prosper through Sky payments etc?
Many views and discussions have been witnessed over the entire season with very few actually able to reach a genuine conclusion. Daniel Ivery (Almajir) is the only one, IMO, that is worth reading with his balanced disclosures from time to time. Bookmakers are a useful tool in assessing our likely outcome to all this mess-with odds falling dramatically to 8/1 for relegation.
A few weeks ago we were around 100/1, then 50/1 and then 20/1. Should they fall any lower, then they really do know something we don’t.
