There’s never a dull moment at St. Andrew`s. Harry Redknapp is the new Birmingham City manager just 15 hours after Gianfranco Zola handed in his resignation.

This is a top appointment from Blues. Redknapp is experienced, knows English football like the back of his hand and he`ll get our players fighting.

He’s only got three games to save us and in an ideal world he would’ve came in earlier but this has given me hope that Blues can survive.

He mentioned in his talkSPORT interview that he hasn’t got a magic wand to wave but he will bring with him some know-how and that gives Blues a fighting chance.

After the misery of yesterday and the last few months, at least we can all rally together with Redknapp and his players for these three huge games that will determine our status for next season.

This is a proper appointment by Blues. I just hope it’s not too late.

  • Blimey Blues, I hope it works out as I enjoy my awaydays to Brum. However, you know things are bad when Harry makes an appearance. I hope for your sakes it’s only short term. Harry ran out of any worthwhile ideas years ago and was one of the worst appointments we’ve made in recent years, and boy we’ve made few bad ones. Whatever you do, don’t let him near the club cheque book! He will try and sign Niko Kranjcar and Peter Crouch and anyone else he’s worked with and who are at the end of their careers. If Kranjcar only had one leg Harry would sign him. Some will say Harry was responsible for our promotion to the Premier League, but those of us who watched that season know he did all in his power to scupper us at every turn. If it wasn’t for Clint Hill, Harry would have ****ed up the play off final too. Quite simply, I wouldn’t trust him with our under elevens. (QPR supporter)
