Birmingham City have announced that Lee Clark has recalled young attacker Koby Arthur from his successful loan spell at Cheltenham.

During his spell he was in prolific form scoring 4 goals in 7 games for the League 2 side. The robins sit 5th in the league with 4 wins. Arthur, 18 was their top scorer before he was called back to injury hit Blues.

With attackers Lee Novak, Denny Johnstone and Matt Green injured, Clark feels he needs more depth within the squad and the promising 18 year old who has made 1 appearance for Blues is the man he has come too.

The Ghanaian youngster made his debut for Blues in the 2012/13 season when he came on as a late sub against Midlands rivals Wolves.

Clark has mentioned that Brek Shea may fit into a striker role if current available strikers Wes Thomas and Clayton Donaldson pick up an injury which will supposedly means that Koby will then go out onto the wing.

It will be interesting to see whether Koby will be drafted into the squad for Tuesday’s encounter against Sheffield Wednesday.

After looking through Twitter, this is Cheltenham fans reactions to the recall of Koby:
