Darren Randolph called Blues display flat and dismissed it as a one off as Blues prepare for the run in for the season.

‘It was a very flat game and we under performed massively,

It was all ever first half, then second half they get the goal and they catch up pushing on trying to get an equaliser.’

Blues were aware of the dangers faced today by Cardiff’s wide players but were unable to do anything about it on the day.

‘We knew the wide players would be a threat, we spoke about it before the game. We wanted to stop their supply line but we werent able to stop that.’

The ever-present Birmingham keeper unsurprisingly did not feel that Cardiff should of had a penalty. Coming the the aid of his defender, Spector, he said ..

‘I felt he got the ball, it should have been a corner and it was a soft decision.

If he was going to give them a penalty, we should of had one or two.

It was flat all day and that made it harder to get back into the game.’

Randolph remained positive about the run in, though. Taking positives from the fact that Blues don’t often play like that and seemed to be focused on the next run of games.

There’s not bee too many displays like today under the new manager so we’ll go away rest up and be ready to go for the last 8 games.’
