Defender Franck Queudrue has turned down a move to Peterborough United in favour of signing for Greek club Panionios.

Since leaving St Andrews, Queudue has been looking for another club and has recently been on trial with the London Road outfit, now managed by ex-Bristol City boss Gary Johnson.

But the 31-year-old has opted for a deal with the Greek top flight club.

‘Panionios offered him a great deal, but Franck said he enjoyed his time with us and that he definitely would have come to us if they hadn’t come in late and fast for him,’ Johnson told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph.

‘He enjoyed his time with us and there is no doubt he would have been a great signing, but the fact that he even came here in the first place proves the ambition we have”.
