‘Pub side’, ‘looked class’: These Birmingham fans split as club sign 24-year-old Spaniard

|

Another day, another signing. It’s hard to keep up sometimes with this club.

The club yesterday confirmed their latest arrival this summer, Spanish midfielder Agustin Medina from UE Cornella on a two-year-deal.

Medina has actually been part of the club set up for some time, having been training with the club since the start of pre-season and even managed to get some game time in the recent friendly with Reading U23s. Could this be a rare case of when a trialist actually got given a name on the team sheet? If so then well done to Birmingham for doing the decent thing and letting us know, much better than Bury for example.

With the signing of Ivan Sunjic, the imminent arrival of Mohamed Ramos and now this, it looks as if the club is going to have a very continental feel about it this season. Maybe they’re all just coming here because they think they’ll have better weather? I’ll let you make the ‘cold night in Stoke’ jokes.

Now that the move has been made official, Blues fans were happy to jump on the bandwagon in wishing him a warm welcome to B9.

Although, it’s fair to say not everyone shared the same level of enthusiasm.
