Remember last week when I said ‘I shouldn’t really be surprised if Birmingham do end up making another free-agent signing’?
Well, what do you know, here we are midway through the international break and it looks as if the Blues could be about to make another free agent signing, and once again it looks as if it’s going to be a midfielder. This one comes in the form of Josh McEachran. The 26-year-old is currently a free agent having been released by Brentford this summer.
So when the news came out that the midfielder was on trial at the club, how did the Birmingham fans react? Well it was a bit of a mixed bag. There were some that thought this was going to be a good move.

Although if the past few days have taught us anything, it’s that there’s probably a forward in the works that we’re going to sign in the next couple of days.
I’m just going to take a moment to give the club a little bit of credit here. At least they told us right from the offset that McEachran was the man on trial and didn’t just put him down as a ‘trialist’ like most other clubs do in this situation, made things a whole lot simpler.
