Under 18s Defender, Tom Lang, have left Birmingham City in favour of returning to Scotland and joining Rangers FC.

The 18 year old is a Scotland youth international and certainly had a chance of making something south of the border in Birmingham.

Head of Rangers Academy, Craig Mulholland said ‘There was quite a bit of interest from several clubs in Tom before he decided to come to Rangers.

‘A key part of our new style of play will be to dominate possession and therefore defenders who are comfortable in possession are important.’

Given there were several clubs interested in Land it would seem that he had decided the leave the club regardless of where he was going. Perhaps it was just a decision to move closer to his family.
