It’s not looking good for Birmingham City now after Wigan came to St Andrews and won 1-0, booking themselves a place in the Championship play offs.

After all the confident talk from manager Lee Clark in the build up to this highly important game, hopes were dashed after just three minutes when McManaman was allowed to cut into the box and place the ball into the bottom corner of the net beyond the reach of Randolph.

20,427 were at St Andrews and those fans now know that nothing less than a win will do at Bolton on Saturday to stand any chance of survival.

More to follow…..(maybe).
