First half:
Kuszczak: 7
On his debut for the side, the Polish international did nothing eye catching but did the important things very comfortably. Commanded his area well and communicated well with young Wes Harding.
Caddis: 6
An unpolished performance from the saviour. Was not as influential as he would have hoped when going forward and despite a couple of good crosses into the box, his overall delivery lacked quality.
Harding: 7
The young centre back looked like a really good prospect. Commanding his defence around, pushing them up and out when he needed to and was very comfortable on the ball. One to watch this season.
Spector: 5
Similar to Caddis, did not look himself on the pitch tonight. Was out performed by debutant Harding and made to look like the more inexperienced of the two. Hopefully there are better things to come from the USA international in the next few games.
Grounds: 5
No real threat when pushing forward and seemed to lack ambition to go on past Demarai Gray at times. However, looked comfortable on the ball and picked out good passes to striker Wes Thomas
Gleeson: 8
Star man for the first half. Sat alongside young midfielder Reece Brown, Gleeson looked solid when it came to challenges, his range of passing was superb and he drove the team forward when they seemed to be pegged back at times.
Brown: 7
Looked good playing next to Gleeson in the holding role. Similar to the first team regular last season, Brown pushed the team forward at times and also made those forward runs into the box and produced some moments of magic but with no end product.
Arthur: 6
Showed good intent to get into attacking positions but unfortunately failed to find any end product from either wing after he swapped with Gray half way through the half. However, the determination was good from Arthur and it looks like there is more to come from him.
Novak: 7
Scored the opening goal of the game and he took it very well in a crowded box after a mix up following a corner from the right hand side directly in front of the travelling fans. Got into some good positions and was unlucky not to score on other occasions.
Gray: 6
Despite getting on the ball quite a lot, Gray did not really show much intent to go past players with a bit of skill or pace. Shots were lacklustre at times but there has definitely been a change over preseason. He looks stronger, bigger and ready to attack the championship next season.
Thomas: 6
Made some good darting runs down the line but there was no end product from him. Midfielders picked him out well and his hold up play was fantastic. However, no real goal threat from him which was a shame.

Second Half:
Legzdins: 6
Similar to Kuszczak in the first half, he did not really have much to do but the times where he was called into action he looked sharp and ready for anything. The race for the number one shirt will be very close this year.
Eardley: 7
The Welsh international showed real intent when pushing the team forward but still did not really look like he could challenge Caddis for the first choice right back spot. Looked strong in his tackles and passes were always pin point.
Morrison: 7
Very commanding in the air as always and looked comfortable alongside Paul Robinson in the second half. A partnership of Morrison and Harding will be one to watch out for in the next championship season as both look like fantastic centre halves.
Robinson: 7
Despite his age, Robinson looked as young as anybody playing against Nuneaton. Ferocious in his tackles as always and determined to carry the team forward. He will be a great back up player next season for sure.
Hancox: 6
Like Grounds, Hancox showed little willingness to go on past the winger but always looked comfortable when in possession of the ball and was always available for a pass. However, like Eardley, Hancox does not look like he will be a challenger for a first team spot this season.
Davis: 9
Man of the match performance from Davis in the second half. He scored a delightful goal from 20 yards out into the bottom right corner and was very commanding in the midfield. Looks more powerful and more determined than last season and will be another one to watch over the course of the 46 games next season.
Griffiths (trialist): 7
Put in a good shift alongside Davis in the two holding roles. Looked like a complete replacement of former loanee Robert Tesche. Had the same physical stature about him and the same sort of mobility. Will be interesting to see how the former Perth player progresses at the club in the next week or so.
Cotterill: 6
Failed to make a big enough impact on the game. However, his desire to reach the long ball down the line and cut it back to Davis on the edge of the box was superb and his passing was on point as well. Despite the few positives from his performance, there was nothing outstanding from Cotterill.
Shinnie: 8
Scored the second goal to end Nuneaton hopes (if there were any). Similar to Novak, the goal came from a scramble inside the box and it somehow ended up in the net. Shinnie looked competent going forward and linked up well with Donaldson at times. Could play a huge part in the team next season but only time will tell.
Maghoma: 8
Very pacey winger but there was no real end product. Always wanted to cut in onto his right foot and did not look comfortable at all on his left. He may struggle to get into the first team next season but he will be a great impact sub for the last 20 minutes should Rowett chose to use him.
Donaldson: 7
Worked hard as always and was unlucky not to get a goal for his efforts. Strong when running with the ball and after the ball. Looked like he was hungry for goals but sadly for Donaldson, there was no luck in his efforts. Will have a significant role in the clubs success next season.
