Blues veteran striker Kevin Phillips is not looking forward to picking up his third relegation with three different clubs if things go wrong for City on Sunday, so its up to himself and his team mates to make sure that it doesn`t.

Phillips has played for two sides that have been dumped out of the top flight, Sunderland was one and that was followed by Southampton.

Sunday may be the last appearance for Phillips in the Blue shirt and he does not want to end his career at St Andrews with another relegation.

It`s only goal difference that keeps Birmingham out of the bottom three and they should be looking for a victory at White Hart Lane on Sunday just in case Wigan or Blackpool manage to pull off unlikely wins.

Phillips said: ‘I don’t think I’ve been in this situation before where it is quite as tight as it is on the last day.

‘I have been relegated from the Premier League twice. I think at Southampton it went to the last day.

‘But it wasn’t as close as this current situation where four or five teams are still in the mix.

‘If this is the end of my Birmingham career, I don’t want it to end with relegation. It is not nice to get relegated.

‘It has a major knock-on effect for everyone in your personal careers.
‘It has a big effect on the club because Birmingham need to stay in the Premier League.

‘But we’ve got plenty of experience in the dressing room that hopefully will see us through.’
