Kevin Phillips fancies another go in the Premiership and is in the mood to fire in the goals that will get Blues up there.

The 35 year old hit 24 goals in the Championship last season for West Brom to help the Baggies up and when you add that to the 22 he scored the season before, it`s not a bad record for a veteran striker.

The hit man wanted to stay at West Brom but they only offered him a one year deal whereas Blues could double that offer, now he intends to pay the club back.

‘West Brom have lost three players who would have loved to have stayed,’ said Phillips to the Daily Mirror.

‘Mowbray stated he didn’t want to give a two-year contract to a player over 30.

‘I would love a crack at the Premier League and if we get it right this year we will go up.’
