Word On The Tweet

“Perfect replacement”, “you got no chance”- These Birmingham fans discuss the future of prospect

|

Always nice to hear one of your loan players is doing well.

And when it gets to a stage where fans of the club he is at are practically begging him to stay past his current loan deal, then you know he is really doing something well.

Steve Seddon has been on loan at Portsmouth since the start of the year and he has really made an impression during his brief time at Fratton Park, as he was involved in eight of the sixteen goals that they scored in the month of January.

Which isn’t bad for a left-back when you think about it.

So when Portsmouth posted a tweet about his exploits, it led to a rather interesting discussion on social media about whether or not he should be brought back and what his long-term future holds at St Andrew’s.

There were some who felt that he would go straight into the team, whilst others believed that he wouldn’t have a chance to get in the team given how well incumbent Kristian Pedersen has done this season, ranking third on the club’s WhoScored.com rankings (second if you don’t include Scott Hogan who’s only played one game).

Does Seddon deserve a chance with us next season?

Yes

No

What about you, do you think he’d get into the team as things are?
