Birmingham are interested in signing Abel Hernandez from Hull City, according to Vital Blues reporter Tom Heslop.

However, Hernandez’s demands are said to be pretty excessive, and if we were to offer a substantial salary, there would be questions over how we could afford to sign other players.

The 27-year-old’s record in the Championship of 28 goals in 49 appearances shows a prolific forward at this level, and the question will be whether his goals are worth the hefty outlay.
