Bob Peeters has blamed fatigue for why Charlton could not control the game against Birmingham.

Charlton chalked up their fourth draw in five games after losing the lead to Blues. Igor Vetokele put the home side ahead after a lack of concentration early on.

Blues battled though and Peeters gave credit to the midlands team for doing so.

He did however go on to explain that Charlton had played 3-4 games in very quick succession and that his team had no more juice left in the tank.

We wanted to push on, everybody wanted to but we just couldn’t

This is where you need that extra but of quality to go on and win the game and we lacked that today.

As expected there was no mention of Blues disallowed goal in the post-match comments on cafc.co.uk.

Charlton now have plenty of time to rest up before their next game, suppose they will be expecting a win with a team fully rested.
