Pearce: Blues Win Charity Donation

Stuart Pearce has completed sought to remove credit from the away team for a counter attacking display that saw his game plan in bits by half time.

Pearce’s team failed to concentrate at the back and paid the price for it when Blues struck hard and fast in the last ten minutes of the first half.

To make matters worse, they struggled to shake off the Birmingham defenders to threaten Darren Randolph in the first half. Most of their shots were off target, or blocked.

Despite the obvious tactical plan and hard work put in to absorb Forest’s un-inventive tactics, if he want’s to know how its done see Derby videos from last time out, Pearce has decided to lay the blame squarely on his players.

We have ended up coming out the wrong side of a defeat because of ourselves, really, rather than anything the opposition did. I don’t want to take credit from them, but they did not deserve to win the game. It was a charitable donation from Nottingham Forest.

Coming from a man that has been in football so long, I would be surprised to see him get a reaction out of his players with an attitude like that.

We had enough efforts on the opposition goal to win a couple of games, never mind one. But we conceded three horrible, horrible goals and paid the price for that

Another one, looking at the stats more than the game itself. Pearce seems to be running out of time at his beloved Nottingham Forest and even more damning, he is out of ideas.

Heading for the sack? probably. Maybe he’ll give us credit for that.
