The Birmingham Mail are reporting that Peter Pannu`s time with Birmingham City could be coming to an end as soon as this September.
Pannu`s contract expires in September and it is understood, following news from sources, that his contract will not be renewed. The £65,000 a week contract could be a stumbling block to the parties renewing. Pannu also does not have a good relationship with the fans at the club.
The BIHL managing director has been with Birmingham since 2009, when he signed a consultancy deal with owner Carson Yeung. Since Yeung was arrested in 2011, Pannu was given a pay rise and what seems to have been full control over the club.
During his time with the club he has over saw a whole outlay of talent travel to other clubs. Jordan Mutch; Cameron Jerome; Scott Dan and Ben Foster just to name a few. The club slowly dismantled to the sorry state it finds itself in now.
Now it would seem Pannu already has been removed from operations at the club. This summer Panos Pavlikis has been running the ship. Transfers, player contracts and the running of the club has been going through him.
It would seem that Birmingham City Football Club will barely acknowledge or even feel the departure of a man that has ironically changed the club so dramatically.
