Blues earned a good point on Wednesday evening in a 2-2 draw with Man Utd.

United took the lead five minutes in when Richardson crossed for Van Nistelrooy, who beat Upson to the ball and drilled home.

But blues battled back and Nicky Butt’s fair challange on Ronaldo started a Blues break by Jamie Clapham. A one-two with Jarosik saw Clapham on the edge of the United box. A neat lay off from Heskey saw Clapham fire in a low shot that went in off Van Der Sar’s leg to give Blues the equaliser and Clapham his first goal for the club. Unfortunatly for Clapham though he limped off with 4 minutes remaining and may be out for some weeks with a knee injury.Hopefully he won’t be.

United led again ten minutes into the 2nd half through Wayne Rooney although the move was started from a free kick in the United half with the ball already moving.

Bruce put on Pandiani with 15 minutes remaining and Montivideo’s favourite binman grabbed the equaliser three minutes later.

Pandiani, who was supposed to be being sold to Espanyol, may have rescued his Blues career after all and is now in line to start against Chelsea on saturday.
