‘Out of his depth’ ‘Like A 7 Year Old’ – Lots Of Birmingham Fans Critical Of Decision To Select 34 Year Old

Lee Camp didn’t cover himself in glory for the two goals that Forest scored on Saturday. I would say that neither were glaring mistakes, but that other higher calibre goalkeepers would likely have done better.

It’s a strange situation when you know that your first choice really isn’t your best keeper, but Garry Monk has stuck to his guns in regards to both David Stockdale and Tomasz Kuszczak.

Fans on Twitter were clearly frustrated at Camp’s inability to keep either goal out:

Some were calling for Stockdale to be recalled:

For Joe Lolley’s strike, it was a powerful hit from the substitute but Camp’s right hand just wasn’t strong enough. For the second, his initial save should have gone wide of the goal, but he then compounded things be being beaten at his near post.

As I’ve said, neither are clangers but you do get a feeling a more capable/agile shot-stopper would have perhaps done better.
