Luke Turner looks at how the game could potentially pan out tomorrow…

Blues head to Loftus Road tomorrow looking to build on their recent win against Bolton as they face Jimmy Floyd Hasslebaink`s Queens Park Rangers.

The Hoops have had a very mediocre season to date and haven’t hit the heights of what was expected of them before the season.

Therefore I expect them to play without fear, with pace and attacking thinking from the outset.

They have some quality players with the ability to win a game on their own so our team will need to be on guard to stop the likes of Matt Phillips, Junior Hoilett and Conor Washington.

After Charlie Austin left the capital to return to the Premier League with Southampton, Phillips rose to the top of their goal scoring charts with his seven strikes.

A lot of their play is likely to go via the wide man so Jonathan Grounds will have a tough afternoon on his hands. He will certainly need support from Jacques Maghoma in front of him once again as he has done throughout the season.

With QPR likely to pour men forward, this will leave gaps in their midfield which we can hopefully exploit.

It should also benefit our counter attacking style of play so I think there will definitely be opportunities for Blues in front of goal.

QPR don’t have the leakiest of defences but if we get the likes of Jon Toral, Clayton Donaldson and David Cotterill on the ball in dangerous areas, we should be alright.

We should also be aware of their threat when they have set pieces. The likes of Nedum Onuoha, Grant Hall and Gabriele Angella all possess height and strength so organisation in both penalty areas will be key for us.

Rowett`s side will be roared on by another sell out away end of just over 3,000 so that will no doubt have a positive effect on the team.

We need to get back to winning ways on the road after two goalless draws and I think QPR will be the just perfect opponent for us.
