Luke Turner points out a few things to look for in tomorrow’s game…

Blues need a win tomorrow afternoon to keep alive their play off hopes, whilst the visitors, Fulham, are also in a scrap of their own down the bottom end of the table.

So I am certainly not expecting a straightforward game for Gary Rowett`s men and Fulham have plenty of quality to cause us problems.

Other teams have come to St Andrews this season and put players behind the ball, frustrated us and then hit us with a sucker punch on the break.

This is pretty much what our game plan is so when someone else does it to us, we struggle. However, I am sure that Slavisa Jokanovic will set his side up to attack and win the game from the outset.

This could lead to a much more open game which will suit Blues as it means they wont be the ones having to constantly apply pressure.

The two up front for Fulham, Ross McCormack and Moussa Dembele, are clearly the ones to watch and were the subject of big money bids in the transfer window.

You rarely see teams play with two strikers nowadays but last week, at Blackburn, we came up against it and really didn’t cope well.

It does baffle me to see Fulham near the relegation zone as they do have some top class players.

But, it is clear to see that their problem isn’t scoring goals, but conceding. They are the second highest scorers in the league, only behind Burnley but have the second worse defensive record.

I think that stat speaks for itself in saying that Fulham will pose a huge threat in front of goal but there could be openings for Blues to score themselves.

What could make it difficult for Blues is if Jokanovic decides to play five at the back. This could make it difficult for Clayton Donaldson up there on his own and, therefore, he will need support.

I am sure that Rowett has been working hard on the finishing aspect of the game throughout the week in training.

We squandered too many chances last week at Molineux and, if we are to get similar chances tomorrow, then they need to be buried.

It is at that point of the season now where any win will do. None of us will care how the ball ends up in the back of the net but, please, just make sure it goes in there!
