Ahead of the first game of October, I thought it would be good to have a look at who Blues will be facing this month.

First up we play Leeds United on the 3rd of October. I think this is just the start of what will be another tough month for Gary Rowett’s side.

The LillyWhites have endured a turbulent start to the 2015/2016 Championship season but I think they will still offer a very tough test for Blues.

Striker Chris Wood will be their biggest threat and I think Rowett and his staff will have done plenty of homework on him.

Personally I thought he was one of our best loan signings when he was with us and I think he is a fantastic buy for Leeds. He could even come back to haunt us at the weekend by scoring a goal.

I think the game against Leeds will end a draw. For me, I am going to say 1-1.

Following on from the game against Leeds and the international break, Blues will entertain Queens Park Rangers at St.Andrews.

Yet another tough fixture for Rowett and his team! However, QPR haven’t been at their best this season following their return to the second tier of English football and I think Blues may look to capitalise on that.

Charlie Austin is obviously the danger man in their team and I think we will do very well to keep him quiet on the day.

His physicality is something that I don’t think Michael Morrison and Jonathan Spector will have come up against in the league as of yet. He is more than likely going to cause us problems on the day.

For me, I think Blues have an advantage being the home side and I think we may just edge the game. I am going with a 2-1 win in this fixture.

After the QPR fixture Blues have two away games on the bounce. The first of the two is against Bolton Wanderers.

The trip to Bolton always brings back fond memories of when Paul Caddis scored in the last minute of the 2013/2014 season but I just can’t see there being a repeat of that when we face them this month.

Blues will need to be careful of Zach Clough. The youngster is one of the new talents in the league and he hit the ground running last year and I think he could potentially cause us problems.

Looking at it from a distance, I think Blues will go there expecting to get a result but they can’t become complacent.

I think Blues will again edge this fixture out with a 2-0 win. Don’t be surprised to see Clayton Donaldson get on the score sheet in this game either.

Just four days later and Blues travel to Hull City. Steve Bruce and his side haven’t exactly got off to a flyer but they have been going about their business quietly and they are slowly getting there.

I think this is the game where Blues will struggle the most if I am being honest. The quality that the Tigers have in their squad should shine through in the game but then again, Rowett’s men could surprise a few people like they continue to do at the moment.

The player that could cause us the most problems is Curtis Davies. The former fans favourite has been one of the rocks for Bruce and he will be hoping that he can continue his form into the game against his former side.

Similar to the Leeds game, I think Blues could walk away with a point from the KC stadium which would be very pleasing. Again, I am going to say a 1-1 draw.

The final fixture of the month is one that all the fans will be looking forward to, Wolverhampton Wanderers at home!

For me, this fixture is the highlight of the whole season as we get to show what we are all about in high intensity games.

Last year we showed them up coming from a goal down and I think we will beat them again. They haven’t had the fantastic start to the season that they will have been hoping for and I think we can heap more misery on them.

A player to watch is Benik Afobe. I think his natural goal scoring ability could be something that causes us problems on the day but then again, we could keep him quiet which would be nice!

Although this could be another close game, I think Blues could edge the game 2-1 with Demarai Gray scoring like he did in last seasons game.
