After it was announced on Monday night which player`s would be travelling to Northampton Town and Shrewsbury Town, I have taken the opportunity to predict the possible line ups that could face the League One and League Two sides.

The 19 man squad which travels to Shrewsbury seemingly looks better and has more options in it but I also believe that the 18 travelling to Northampton could give manager Gary Rowett quite a selection headache.

Personally, I believe that the inclusion of the youth in both squads is great to see but with the exception of two or three of them, I have a feeling that they are only there as filler players.

On this conclusion, I believe the starting line ups are rather simple and my suggestions are as follows:

Team to play Northampton Town:

Legzdins; Caddis, Morrison, Robinson, Hancox; Griffiths, Davis; Novak, Shinnie, Gray; Johnstone.

Team to play Shrewsbury Town:

Kuszczak; Eardley, Lowry, Spector, Grounds; Gleeson, Brown; Cotterill, Arthur, Maghoma; Donaldson.

Upon first glance at my two predictions, it is clear to see that the second XI looks a lot stronger than the first which is playing Northampton.
However, there is a minor selection dilemma in the team facing the Shrews as Wes Thomas will be travelling with the team and it was difficult to pick between him and Koby Arthur.

However, after watching the pair over the past two games, Arthur looks the better player at the moment so personally I would choose to start him over Thomas.

The inclusion of Griffiths in the XI against Northampton was one that was a definite for me as in the 90 minutes that I have seen him play, he has imposed himself very well.

Blues fans, do you agree with the two starting line ups? Or would you change some of the players that I have included to give the youth a chance to shine? Let us know down in the comment section below!
