Birmingham City travel to the Stadium of Light this weekend to take on a Sunderland team who will be buoyant heading into the game having won their previous home fixture against Fulham, a victory that was their first at home in 364 days.

The win came courtesy of a Josh Maja goal in the 77th minute securing the Black Cats seventh point out of a possible last 12, meaning they moved out of the relegation zone, leaving Blues bottom of the table.

Blues on the other hand are looking to break their away duck this weekend. Steve Cotterill’s side are yet to win on the road this season and he will be hoping his team can pull together to pick up something in the North East that could save his job as pressure grows on him from the powers above.

Cotterill has confirmed that David Davis will have a late fitness test after he picked up a knock last weekend in the defeat to Queens Park Rangers and Che Adams, Carl Jenkinson, Marc Roberts and Isaac Vassell all remain out injured.

Down below is the side that I think Cotterill will name along with the seven substitutes…

GK: Stockdale
RB: Colin
CB: Morrison
CB: Dean
LB: Grounds
CDM: Gardner
CM: Kieftenbeld
CM: Ndoye
RW: Jota
ST: Gallagher
LW: Boga

Substitutes: Trueman, Nsue, Bramall, Dacres-Cogley, Gleeson, Maghoma, Jutkiewicz.

Blues fans, what do you make of the team that has been predicted? Is it one that you think can pick some points up against Sunderland? Let us know in the comment section down below!
